Statement Regarding Planned Walkout

ESEA did not organize or have any involvement, says ESEA President Jan Giles.
Published: September 7, 2021

It recently came to the attention of the Education Support Employees Association (ESEA) that there was a planned walkout by employees of the Clark County School District (CCSD).

ESEA would like to make clear that we did not organize or have any involvement with this planned walk out or work stoppage.

Pursuant to Article 30 of the Negotiated Agreement with CCSD as well as NRS 288, ESEA has not and will not endorse any kind of walk-out or work stoppage.

In these uncertain times, SEA remains committed to all the professional support employees at CCSD who are keeping our schools safe and making sure our children have the best education and nutrition. We appreciate their hard work and dedication.

Thank you,

Jan Giles, President, ESEA
